| Abstract: | У статті розглянуто поняття жертви злочину від крадіжки, латентної віктимізації осіб, потерпілих від крадіжок, їх співвідношення з поняттям віктимність. Звернуто увагу на стан латентної віктимізації населення країни, яке є потерпілими від крадіжок. Запропоновано основні напрямки віктимологічної профілактики від крадіжок. В статье рассмотрены понятия жертвы преступления от кражи, латентной виктизации лиц, пострадавших от краж, их соотношение с понятием виктимность. Обращено внимание на состояние латентной виктимизации населения страны, потерпевшего от краж. Предложены основные направления виктимологической профилактики от краж. |
| Description: | One of the parts of victimology is criminal victimology which can be defined as the system of knowledge about victims of crime, regularities and factors of their behavior, typical situations which cause criminal infringements, including measures of victimologic prevention. Central definition of victimology is the definition of victim. The victim can be an individual, who was caused damage by crime. It is necessary to pay attention to the fact that latent victimization covers not only victims but also people who had various (family, work, spiritual, social) connections with the victim. They are known as “rebounding” victims. One of the main features of the victim of crime is victimity. It is defined as an enhanced capability of the individual to become a victim of crime under certain objective circumstances by virtue of social role and status, spiritual and physical features. Latent victimization deals with the enhanced level of vulnerability of victims of latent crime infringement before another crime causes damage to them including enhanced risks of criminal infringement against public. In order not to increase the existing crime rate in Ukraine, many statements are disregarded and not responded. At the same time there are many people who bear potential victimity because of their personal features, age, service or other activities. The most common sociological methods to perceive and evaluate the level of latent victimity are the methods of public surveys and questionnaire. We assume that the State Statistics Service of Ukraine shall do national selective research on the level of latent crime that will enable to find out the condition of latent victimization of population, particularly theft victims. |
