Abstract

The article is devoted to the consideration of the discussion of the relationship between mental disorders and certain types of crimes. The analysis of the views of criminologists, psychiatrists, geneticists was done. The position that the social attitude and biological nature are only conditions and do not cause the crime separately from each other is stated. The psychophysiological imbalance of processes itself does not determine the fatal inevitability of criminal behavior at all, just as negative social impulses do not necessarily lead to deviant reactions, but the complex of socio-biological factors can create a criminal.
