| dc.description | The article examines the specificity of a bicameral parliament formation and the expediency of its introduction at the current stage of the Ukrainian state development. The experience of foreign unitary countries with bicameral parliaments, as well as the differentiation of powers between lower and upper chambers, are considered, and, based on the research, proposals were developed how to increase the efficiency of state‑building in Ukraine and reform the work of the parliament taking into account the experience of other countries.
